Sunkhays, Maine (also Sunkhaze) - Plantation 3 [or Township 3] - in the 1820 Census - now Milford, Maine

Sunkhays, Maine, or Number 3 Plantation [or perhaps Township 3], in Penobscot County, in the 1820 Census.  Became Sunkhaze Plantation and, finally, Milford, Maine.

The enumerator indicated this was also known as Plantation 3, but other records show it as Township 3, Old Indian Purchase, East of Penobscot River (T3 OIP EPR).

Note: the 1820 Census lists the names of heads of households only, with a tally of everyone in the household by age range and gender.

The enumeration of Sunkhays, or Number 3 Plantation, appears on Sheet 89.

Be aware that the enumerator used phonetic spelling, which may have affected alphabetization; check the entire list to be sure you don't miss the object of your search.
