Williamsburgh, Maine, in Penobscot County, in the 1820 Census; as of 1838 in Piscataquis County. Now known as Williamsburg Township - lost territory to Barnard Township in 1834.

See another enumeration for Plantation 1, Third Range, with Williamsburg written diagonally.

See the names of heads of households farther below.  Note Moses Greenleaf, noted Maine mapmaker.

Note: the 1820 Census lists the names of heads of households only, with a tally of everyone in the household by age range and gender.

The enumeration of Williamsburgh appears on Sheet 44.

The enumerator in several cases used phonetic spelling; check the entire list if you don't at first see the name of the person you're researching.  If you notice errors or if you have information to share on any of the people listed below, please leave a comment.
