Boundary changes since 1820: portion of Ripley north of the Sebasticook River set off to form Cambridge in 1834; land set off to St. Albans in 1862 but returned in 2002.

Note: the 1820 Census lists the names of heads of households only, with a tally of everyone in the household by age range and gender.
