Passadumkeag, Maine, and Township 1, in the 1820 Census

Passadumkeag, Maine and Township 1, in Penobscot County, in the 1820 Census.  In 1820 Passadumkeag contained what is now Lowell, Maine.

The enumeration sheet contains names for Passadumkeag and Township 1, separated by a few lines.  The first group is designated Passadumkeag; perhaps these folks lived closer together in a village setting. The second group is designated Township 1; these folks may have been farther out, and perhaps this is the part that became Lowell.

Note: the 1820 Census lists the names of heads of households only with a tally of everyone in the household by age range and gender.

The enumeration of Passadumkeag and Township 1 appear on Sheet 88.
