Fairfax, Maine, in the 1820 Census - now Albion, Maine

Fairfax, Maine, in Kennebec County, in the 1820 Census. In 1824, the town, which had changed its name to Ligonia in 1821, became known as Albion.  See a list of the names of heads of households farther below.

Boundary changes since 1820: "Territory north of Albion" annexed in 1835; part of Unity Plantation annexed in 1853; land set off to Benton in 1863
