c1880s Cabinet Photograph of Hannah C. Crowell; Boston, Massachusetts, Photographer
Circa 1880s cabinet photograph of a woman identified on the reverse as Hannah C. Crowell. The photograph was taken by the Gendron studio of Boston, Massachusetts.
There are several possibilities for a Hannah C. Crowell during that time frame in Massachusetts. Whether she lived in the Boston area or happened to have her photograph taken while she was visiting there, I don't know.
She may have been Hannah C. (Sears) Kent, widow of Isaac N. Kent, who married Daniel S. Crowell in 1881 at Dennis, Massachusetts.
Or Hannah may have been Hannah (Stacy) Crowell, wife of William Crowell of Dorchester, Massachusetts, and daughter of Jordan and Sally K. (Libby) Stacy of Porter, Maine. Did her middle name start with C?
Perhaps she was Hannah D. (Moody) Crowell, wife of Zenas Andrew Crowell, though the name doesn't quite fit.
If you recognize her from your family photographs or research, please leave a comment or contact me directly.
