c1900 Photograph of Florence ?, Possibly Florence Lindsay; photo by a studio at Bangor, Maine
c1900 photograph of a young woman identified on the reverse as, I think, Florence Lindsay. The photograph was taken by the Ramsdell studio of Bangor, Maine.
Even if I have her name correctly as Florence Lindsay, it appears that there was more than one Florence Lindsay in the Bangor, Maine, area during the time frame, including Florences from Lincoln, Maine; from Winter Harbor, Maine; from New Brunswick, and more.
In addition to a Florence who lived in or near Bangor, Maine, it was - and is - not unusual for people in northern and eastern Maine to gravitate to Bangor for work, shopping, commerce, education, medical needs and connections to transportation - and to have a photograph taken while there.
If you recognize this woman from your family photographs and/or research, please leave a comment or contact me directly.
