1860s/1870s Autograph Album of Julia Anna Crossman of Sutton, Massachusetts

1860s/1870s autograph album that I believe belonged to Julia Anna Crossman, "Annie", of Sutton, Massachusetts.

The album is approximately 6-1/2" x 4-1/4" and is quite thick, with the sentiments of over 50 of Annie's relatives and friends.  An alphabetical list of the signers appears at the end of this list, with any expressed family relationships noted.

From online research, hopefully correct:  [corrections and additions welcome!]

Julia Anna Crossman was born in January 1848 [I found records with January 2 and January 9], the daughter of Milton E. Crossman and Julia Ann (Morse) Crossman, who were born at Sutton, Massachusetts, and Wrentham, Massachusetts, respectively.

Presumably the F. M. Crossman whose card was inserted into one of the first few pages was Annie's brother Frederick Morse Crossman.

Other relatives, including several cousins, signed pages in the album; refer to the list below. Their surnames include Crossman, Hastings, King, Morse, Narramore and Nolen.

On 20 June 1872 at Sutton, Massachusetts, Julia Anna Crossman married Jacob Emerson Holbrook.  They would have at least one child, Milton Levi Holbrook, born 3 March 1887 at Sutton, Massachusetts.

If you have corrections and/or additions to the information above, or information on any of the signers listed below, please leave a comment or contact me directly.

A. Eugene Nolen of Yale College at New Haven, Connecticut, Class of 1867, signed at Sutton, Massachusetts, on August 26, 1866; from a Yale publication, I found his name was Alfred Eugene Nolen.
