Several photographs and a birthday book that appear to pertain to the Dunham family of Sebec, Maine, including family members who moved to Michigan and Wisconsin, and friends from Sebec and Dover-Foxcroft and around Maine.
The birthday book does not list the birthdays of Effie Idella (Dunham) Merrill (1869-1926) or her husband William True Merrill (1862-1933), leading me to wonder if Effie might have been the original owner of the book and photo collection. She was the daughter of Levi Bearce Dunham (1828-1908) and Ann C. (Dow) Dunham (1830-1895) of the Foxcroft section of what is now Dover-Foxcroft, Maine.
Surnames mentioned on the photographs and in the birthday entries:
Above, a man identified on the reverse as Will Dunham. He was William Herbert Dunham, born in Sebec, Maine, in 1866, son of Levi Bearce Dunham (1828-1908) and Ann C. (Dow) Dunham (1830-1895).
The reverse of the photograph suggests that these two young women might be William Herbert Dunham's sisters, Angeline (Dunham) Packard (1863-1920), "Angie" and Effie Idella (Dunham) Merrill (1869-1926). However, the faint studio imprint seems to indicate Wisconsin, which might make them Washburn sisters or cousins or mother and daughter. Hopefully a reader with identified family photographs will weigh in. Perhaps Angie and Effie were on a visit to their Washburn relatives.
The birthday book contains two obituaries:
- Lillian B. (Yeaton) Parker (1892-1970), wife of dentist George C. Parker (abt 1884-1953), who was born in the Dover-Foxcroft area and who is presumably the person who ties in Lillian with the Dunham family. Note: Lillian's FindaGrave memorial notes that she died in March 1970, but her Social Security death record notes January, 1970, which would tie in with the fact that the clipping was tucked in the pages that hold entries for January 10-12. Lillian's middle name was presumably either Bernice or Berniece, per the 1900 Census, when she was listed as "Bearnice".
- William True Merrill (1862-1933), husband of Effie Idella (Dunham) Merrill (1869-1926)
People depicted in the photographs and/or mentioned in the birthday book:
- Photograph of two young women: handwritten ID suggests they may have been Effie Idella (Dunham) Merrill (1869-1926) and sister Angeline (Dunham) Packard (1863-1920), "Angie", but the studio imprint refers to a Wisconsin studio. Perhaps they were members of the families of the Washburn brothers who moved from Piscataquis County, Maine, to the Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, area.
- "Lulu and Donald". Photograph of what appears to be mother and son - ID: "Lulu and Donald". Could Lulu be the nickname of Laura Edith (Bird) Dunham (1874-1951) and Donald be Donald Bird Dunham (1904-1983), Laura's son with William Herbert Dunham (1866-1931)?

As for the discrepancy in Charlotte's death date: a record in the Maine Death Index notes 1961, whereas the FindaGrave memorial shows 1964 - there's no photograph of Charlotte's information, just that of Herbert.

- Everett Levi Washburn (1895-). Entry for December 12: "Everett Levi Washburn, 1885" 1885 is apparently an error on the part of person who wrote this in the book, as most records show Everett Levi Washburn was born December 12, 1895. Everett was the son of Edson Wilmot Washburn (1855-1911) and Jennie Elizabeth Johnson (1869-1962) and the husband of Monica Evelyn (Paterson) Washburn. Everett died in Turkey in 1938. There is, however, a FindaGrave memorial for an Everette Washburn (1885-1947), who is buried in Wisconsin.
