Real Photo Postcard of C. E. Monohon Horseshoeing, Northeast Harbor, Maine
Real photo postcard of the C. E. Monohon Horseshoeing and Jobbing business at Northeast Harbor, Maine. No doubt one of the three men pictured is owner Charles Edward Monohon.
Another photograph of this building can be seen at the Maine Memory Network.
From online research, hopefully correct: [corrections welcome]
Charles Edward Monohon was born at Cherryfield, Maine, about 1876, son of John and Ellen (Stackpole) Monohon, born at Machias, Maine, and in Canada, respectively.
Charles married Anna Augusta Wiswell at Ellsworth, Maine, on 1 April 1899. They had at least one child, Eugene Edward Monohon.
I'm not sure whether Anna died or the couple divorced, but Charles married Jessie E. Leland on 17 November 1908.
