Photograph of young Bertrand Levesque; New Bedford, Massachusetts studio
Photograph taken by a New Bedford, Massachusetts studio of a young boy identified on the reverse as Bertrand Levesque.
Researching online, I found a Bertrand E. Levesque born 24 September 1906 at Fall River, Massachusetts, and recorded as Edmond B. A. Levesque in Massachusetts, son of Philippe and Alma (Tremblay) Levesque.
Bertrand lived with his parents at least through the time of the 1940 Census of New Bedford, Massachusetts. By this time, he had graduated from college with a degree in civil engineering.
Bertrand was still in Massachusetts when he enlisted at Boston into the Warrant Officers Branch. He died at Santa Fe, New Mexico in the 1990s.
I found another Bertrand Levesque born about 1920 in the same area but I believe the photograph is older than that.
There was another Bertrand Levesque born in 1904, but he died that same year.
If you have corrections to the information on Bertrand E. Levesque or Edmond Bertrand A. Levesque, or if you believe the boy in the photograph is another person, please leave a comment or contact me directly. Thanks!
