Cabinet Photographs of Ralph B. Lewis & Reuben Lewis of Westfield, Massachusetts
Cabinet photograph of an elderly man identified as unmarried uncle Ralph B. Lewis. The photograph was taken by the Coleman studio of Westfield, Massachusetts.
From online research, hopefully correct: [corrections welcome!]
I'm guessing that Ralph B. Lewis is Ralph Buckley Lewis, son of Gideon and Nancy (Harrison) Lewis, who were born at Haddam, Connecticut, and Westfield, Massachusetts, respectively.
Ralph's paternal grandparents were Augustus and Mary (Brainard) Lewis. His maternal grandparents were Reuben and Nancy(Baldwin) Harrison.
I didn't find a wife for Ralph Buckley Lewis, and that fits in with the comment on the photograph that Ralph was unmarried. Ralph died at Westfield, Massachusetts on 24 February 1893.
Found with the photograph of Ralph B. Lewis was one of Reuben Lewis, who I believe was Reuben Harrison Lewis, younger brother of Ralph Buckley Lewis.
Reuben was born 18 June 1830 and died young, as the photograph indicates, on 23 October 1853, also at Westfield. I'm not sure when cabinet photographs were developed, but this one may have been created with an image taken earlier.
