Graduation Photograph of Charlotte M. Clarke; by a Bangor, Maine studio

Graduation photograph of a young woman identified as Charlotte M. Clarke by the card enclosed.  The photograph was taken by the Chalmers studio of Bangor, Maine.

From online research, hopefully correct: [corrections welcome!]

The closest Charlotte M. Clarke of the plausible era that I could find was Charlotte M. Clarke of Stockton Springs, Maine.   She was the daughter of Myron John Clarke and Ethel (Carr) Clarke, who were born at Prospect, Maine, and Searsport, Maine, respectively.

If, from your family albums or research, you recognize the young woman in the photograph as another Charlotte M. Clarke, please leave a comment or contact me directly.  Thanks!

The Stockton Springs, Maine, Charlotte M. Clarke was born 21 June 1920 at Stockton Springs.  On 19 November 1938, she married Gordon Clyde Thompson, born 13 January 1918 at Searsport, Maine, son of Robert M. and Mornita May (Page) Thompson.

At the time of the 1940 Census, Charlotte and Gordon were living with Charlotte's parents at Stockton Springs, Maine.  Gordon was working as a laborer at a fertilizer plant.

If you have corrections to the information above, or have a different Charlotte M. Clark for the woman in the photograph, please leave a comment or contact me directly.  Thanks!
