1885 photo of children on steps of Tubbs Hotel, Oakland, California



1885 photograph of children sitting on the steps of the Tubbs Hotel in Oakland, California.  The Tubbs Hotel was built in 1871 and destroyed in a spectacular 1893 fire.

One of the children is Lillian.

    Had an informative note from an expert on Oakland, California history: this is the Tubbs Hotel, which was built in 1871 and destroyed in a spectacular fire in 1893.
