March 2, 1867 Canton, Maine, document where Selectmen Hiram A. Ellis and Albion Thorne direct Town Treasurer John P. Sevary, Esq. to pay Rev. Carlton Parker $8 for service as Superintendent of the School Committee for the years 1866 and 1867. 

These men were, presumably:

• Hiram Augustus Ellis (1826-1904), Selectman
• Albion Thorne (1836-1910), Selectman
• John T. Severy (1814-1887), Town Treasurer - although his middle initial appears to be a P, it was presumably a T.
• Rev. Carlton Parker (abt 1806-1874)
