1858 Canton, Maine, Document: Thomas C. Gurney; Hiram A. Ellis; John M. DeShon; Orison Gammon; O. Hayford, Jr.

1858 Canton, Maine, document where Selectmen Thomas C. Gurney and Hiram A. Ellis direct Town Treasurer John M. DeShon to pay Orison Gammon $16.80 for boarding the teacher in School District No. 2. 

The reverse shows the name O. Hayford, Jr., with the word "Treasurer" underneath. He had presumably replaced John M. Deshon as Treasurer in the Spring of 1858, at some point after this order was made.
