The photograph was taken by the G. W. Gerow studio of Yarmouthville, Maine.

Fred may have been Fred Leroy Richards (1879-1965), son of Capt. Samuel Richards and Hepzibah (Titcomb) Richards. 

Fred and Carrie Etta Leighton (1881-1953) would marry in 1902 at Gray, Maine.  They stayed in Yarmouth, where they had at least one child, a son.
