Robert Lovett Emery (1880-1948) was born June 7, 1880 at Thomaston, Maine, or South Thomaston, Maine, the son of Bradford Alden Emery and Elizabeth Acadia (Maddocks) Emery. Robert received his medical degree from Boston University in 1908; at that time he gave his address as Owls Head, Maine.
On February 9, 1909 at Boston, Massachusetts, or Rockport, Massachusetts, Dr. Robert Lovett Emery married Emma Adelaide Gibson, daughter of Robert E. and Martha (Thompson) Gibson.
Dr. Emery practiced for a time at Rockport, Massachusetts, before selling his practice to Dr. William Phillips. Dr. Emery then purchased the practice of Dr. Benjamin Church at 40 Church Street at Winchester, Massachusetts.
From a Journal of the American Institute of Homeopathy publication covering July 1917-June 1918:
The couple had at least one child, a son Robert B. Emery, born in 1918. Dr. Robert Lovett Emery died on March 19, 1948 and is buried at Owls Head, Maine.
