1879-1880s autograph album of Margaret E. Sheridan, "Maggie", of Manchester, Connecticut.
It appears that the album was presented to Maggie by T. J. Smith, who inscribed a presentation on the title page and a dedication page on March 6, 1879. There was a Thomas J. Smith, born about 1855-1860, son of James and Ellen (Palmer) Smith, who lived at Manchester, Connecticut, but I don't know if he was the person who gave the album to Maggie.
The album is approximately 7" x 4-1/4" and contains the sentiments of nearly 90 of Maggie's relatives, friends and schoolmates. An alphabetical list appears at the end of this post.
From online research, hopefully correct: [corrections and additions welcome!]
Margaret E. Sheridan, "Maggie", was born about 1863 in Connecticut, the daughter of Irish immigrants John and Ellen Sheridan. She had several siblings who signed pages in her album. The Nellie Sheridan of Manchester, Connecticut, who signed a page on February 22, 1879, was either Maggie's mother or her older sister.
Maggie's sister Della B. Sheridan of Manchester, Connecticut, signed two pages, one on February 13, 1883. On one of the pages, Dell called her sister "Madge".
Sister Minnie L. Sheridan of Manchester, Connecticut, signed a page on February 24, 1879.
Sister Julia A. Sheridan of Manchester, Connecticut, signed a page on November 3, 1880.
The Annie Sheridan of Manchester, Connecticut, who signed a page on February 1, 1879, may have been Maggie's sister Hannah.

Maggie teacher, Mabel Cook of Manchester, Connecticut, signed a page on March 5, 1879.
E. A. Lydall of Manchester, Connecticut, signed a page on March 12, 1879 and incorporated his name and residence in an intricate design of a bird and scroll. He was presumably Edwin A. Lydall. Two other people with the surname Lydall signed pages in the album; refer to the list of signers below.
Hugh E. Merrigan of New London, Connecticut, also sketched a design on the page he inscribed on August 16, 1883.
