CDV of Baby Identified as Minnie Gridley; by a Waterville, New York studio
Carte de Visite of a baby identified on the reverse as Minnie Gridley. The photograph was taken at the R. W. Williams studio at Waterville, New York.
I found several candidates for a Minnie Gridley near Waterville, New York, born in the 1860s to 1880s time frame.
A plausible candidate was the Minnie Gridley born at Waterville, New York, in 1877, and living at nearby Marshall, New York, at the time of the 1880 Census. She was daughter of Joseph H. Gridley and Josephine H. (McAdam) Gridley.
Intriguingly, the Gridleys had a daughter Marian, and it's possible that Marian was Minnie. If so, Marian/Minnie was born November 12, 1877 and would marry John Allen Losee. They had two sons. children. Marian died in 1961 and John in 1966.
