Campaign Card of G. A. Gecowets of Mark Center, Ohio; Democratic Candidate for County Commissioner of Defiance County

Campaign card of G. A. Gecowets of Mark Center, Ohio, who was the Democratic candidate for County Commissioner of Defiance County, Ohio.  Approximately 5-1/2" by 3"; nothing on reverse.

Found in a Bible that belonged to Jeremiah Bloom and wife Susanna (Snyder) Bloom and apparently passed on to their son James Hagan Bloom of Sherwood, Ohio.  The Bible contains family records, many CDVs and tintypes and a number of other mementos.

From brief online research, hopefully correct - corrections and additions requested:

G. A. Gecowets may have been George Andrew Gecowets, a Justice of the Peace, who was born December 28, 1859 in Defiance County, Ohio, the son of George Andrew Gecowets and Christine (Bowers) Gecowets.

On March 27, 1883 in Williams County, Ohio,

The younger George Andrew married twice and had children with both wives.  His wives:
  1. Phoebe M. Hutchinson, on March 27, 1883 in Williams County, Ohio; Phoebe died in 1887.
  2. Margaret J. Morris, "Maggie",  at Eaton, Indiana, on September 23, 1890
Maggie died in 1938 and George Andrew Gecowets in 1945.  They're buried in the Six Corners Cemetery at Hicksville, Ohio.  Phoebe M. (Hutchinson) Gecowets is also buried in this cemetery.
