1915 Death Notice of Joseph Bunnell, Oldest Civil War Pensioner in Mercer County, Pennylvania

This death notice for Joseph Bunnell, age 94, the "oldest Civil war pensioner in Mercer County", Pennsylvania, was found on a larger clipping, the reverse of which had meaning for the Berry family and was tucked in the Bible of Thomas Berry and Eliza Jane (McNair) Berry of New Castle, Pennsylvania.

VETERAN DIES AT AGE OF 94 YEARS

SHARON, Pa., Feb. 19 - Joseph Bunnell, aged 94, the oldest Civil war pensioner in Mercer county, is dead here.  He was born in Middletown, Pa., and served in the war with the Seventy-seventh Pennsylvania Volunteers.  He came to Mercer county at the close of the war.  Nine children, 32 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchilden and one great-great-grandchild, survive.

From brief online research, hopefully correct - corrections and additions requested:

Joseph Bunnell was born in 1821 and served in the Union Army during the Civil War.   I believe he married Hannah Shoemacker, or surname variant, and had at least two children, Nannie, who married Thomas H. Godfrey, and Adda, who married William S. McGeehon.

By 1900, Joseph and Hannah were divorced.  By 1910, according to the 1910 Census of Sharon, Pennsylvania, Joseph was living in the household of his daughter Nannie and husband Thomas H. Godfrey.

Joseph is buried in the Oakwood Cemetery at Sharon, Pennsylvania.   His Find-a-Grave memorial shows his name as Joseph Bunnel; there's no photograph to compare.
