Real Photo Postcards, both produced by Richard Kautto studio, 811 Main Street, Fitchburg, Massachusetts.
One postcard shows two girls, likely sisters, who are identified as Ingrid Sjoman and Rauha (spelling?) Irene Sjoman. The girls look to be around ten years old.
The other postcard is of a woman identified simply as Aunt Betty. Whether she is related to the two girls or not, I don't know, but it's quite possible. The handwriting looks similar, and there's the definite link of the Kautto studio, plus the fact that the cards were purchased together at an antique shop in Maine.
I wasn't able to find either of the Sjoman girls in my online research, though I did find that surname in the Fitchburg, Massachusetts area, where many Finns have settled over the years.
If you have any insights into the identities of Ingrid or Rauha Irene Sjoman or Aunt Betty, please contact me so that I can give these photographs more context.
