1899-1905 Autograph Album with Inscriptions to Albert Gross, Sue & Gaston from Inscribers in Topeka, Kansas, and Buffalo, New York

1899-1905 autograph album that has inscriptions to three names: Albert Gross, Sue and Gaston; from inscribers at Buffalo, New York, and Topeka, Kansas.

One of the owners encased the album in a protective covering, shown below.

Hopefully, the inscriptions in the album and the few kinship clues will lead a reader to identifying Albert, Gaston and Sue.

The first end paper, in case these initials mean something to a reader.

Below, examples of pages inscribed to each:

Mrs. Cassie L. Chadwick; inscribed to Albert Gross on October 27, 1905.  "M.W.G."

Lizabeth, cousin; inscribed at Topeka, Kansas, on July 9, 1903; inscribed to Gaston

Mary Gross; inscribed to Sue on December 1, 1900

The album measures approximately 6-1/2" by 4-1/4" and contains about 30 sentiments of relatives and friends, some of which may be from the same person.  An alphabetical surname list and an alphabetical list of the inscribers, together with any personal information they offered, appear at the end of this post.

Albert Gross, Sue and/or Gaston may have been involved with the Star Theatre, presumably the one at Buffalo, New York, as the image below appears to have been a work schedule.

If you can piece together the clues in this album, from the images above and from the list of inscribers below, please leave a comment or contact me directly.
