June 1919 Issue of "The Spud", a publication of the students at Sherman High School at Sherman, Maine.

This issue is dedicated to John Clay Spooner, a member of the Class of 1916 at Sherman High School, who died at Chateau Thierry on July 25, 1918.  See another post that features John Clay Spooner.

Another page memorializes Evelyn S. Murphy, a member of the Class of 1920, who died in January 1919.  [There's a FindaGrave memorial for an Evelyn A. Murphy (1901-1919), buried in nearly Benedicta, Maine.]
