1902 Photograph, Possibly Graduation Photograph, of Jack F. Beck, by Bushnell studio of California and Portland, Oregon
1902 photograph, possibly a graduation photograph, of a young man, taken by one of the Bushnell studios at San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, or Sacramento, California, or Portland, Oregon.
The young man identified himself on the reverse as Jack F. Beck. The photograph was intended to be given to Leonora Badley. "To Leonora Badley, with best wishes. Most sincerely yours, Jack F. Beck, April 25, 1902."
The photograph itself is about 8" x 5"; with the mat, it's about 10-3/4" x 8-1/4".
If a graduation photograph, Jack looks old enough to have been about to be a college graduate at the time the photograph was taken. If so, he could have been from anywhere, even outside the United States.
As yet I haven't identified a Jack F. Beck that seems to fit the bill, and I haven't found anything on a Leonora Badley. I did find Leonora Badderley in fact and fiction.
If you recognize Jack F. Beck by name and/or face, or Leonora Badley, please leave a comment or contact me directly.
