I, A. W. Ells of Bar Harbor do sell and convey to the said N Shaw for the Sum of $45.48 Dollars One Baggage waggon. A. W. Ells

Presumably Arthur William Ells (abt 1852-1899), a Nova Scotia native who  married Julia Harriet Ash of Bar Harbor, Maine.

N. Shaw may have been one of the several generations of men named Nathan Shaw of Gouldsboro.

Although the first bridge to Mount Desert Island was constructed in 1837, it was more likely that the baggage wagon in this transaction went by sail, if it did go to a purchaser in Gouldsboro.
