Mr. T. B. Pickering
Dear Sir We received two tubs of Eggs from you on Friday last for which we allow you 14 cts per Dz. We have this day sent you a role of Leather and have paid the Balance of money to Mr. F. Curtis as you directed including the Fourteen Dollars which due on the last lot of Eggs.  We made up the account in a great hurry at that time therefore made the Error in your account. We believe it is all straight now.

T. B. Pickering of Deer Isle, Maine, was presumably Timothy Barnes Pickering (1815-1892) of Deer Isle.  Papers of 5 generations of the Pickering family, including those of the Timothy Barnes Pickering noted above, are held at the Penobscot Marine Museum in Searsport, Maine.
