1870s/1880s autograph album of Birdie Deane of Taunton, Massachusetts, started in 1876 and containing pages signed by many students at Bristol Academy.
The album is missing its covers and perhaps end papers, but luckily Birdie wrote her name on the title page, as you can see above. The album interior measures approximately 8" x 4-1/2" and contains pages signed by 61 of Birdie's schoolmates, friends and, possibly, relatives.

There were three people named Deane or Dean who signed pages in the album. One was Gertie W. Deane of Taunton, Massachusetts, who signed her page on February 5, 1879.
Florence Dean of Taunton, Massachusetts, signed a page on October 19, 1876.
L. A. Dean of Taunton, Massachusetts, signed a page on February 8, 1877.
At least two pages were signed by people of note, one of them being Cornelius Gilbert Atwood, a Civil War Brigadier General with the Massachusetts Militia and, later, Deputy Collector of the Port of Boston, Secretary of the Board of Trade and Inspector General. He signed at Boston, Massachusetts, on January 27, 1877.
Another signer was O. J. Curtis, also of the Boston Board of Trade, who signed on March 3, 1877. He was Oliver J. Curtis.
Several people wrote pages in French and may have been instructors at Bristol Academy. Mathilde de Lewandosky signed at Cambridge, Massachusetts, on 21 September 1879.
Helena S. de Lewandoska also signed a page at Cambridge, Massachusetts, on 21 September 1879.
I'm not sure of the surname of the person who signed the page in French below, perhaps Marie Maggi or Maygi, or Marie ?, who signed 11 October 1877.
