Photograph of a man identified on the front as Will Green.  The photograph was taken by the Barnes studio of Island Falls, Maine.  Nothing is written on the reverse.

Will may have been the "Willard Green"who was living at Reed Plantation, Maine, at the time of the 1880 Census, in the household of his father Levi Green.  He seems to be the same person identified as "William H. Green", son of Levi Green and his first wife Mary (Hogan) Green, in the record of William's marriage to widow Edith May (Irish) Hackett at Bancroft, Maine, on 2 July 1910.  William gave Reed Plantation as his place of birth and Island Falls as his residence at the time of their marriage.

Note: their marriage record on Ancestry.com erroneously shows Baring, Maine as their marriage place; a close reading shows the place is Bancroft. An edit has been submitted.

I believe this Will was born at Reed Plantation in 1858 and died at Houlton, Maine, in 1945, but haven't yet found records of such.

1892 Cabinet Photograph of Mrs. Fannie Bartlett of Bartlett Mills, New Brunswick; by a Lewiston, Maine, Studio

Cabinet photograph dated 1892 of a woman identified on the reverse as Mrs. Fannie Bartlett of Bartlett Mills, N.B., presumably the village in Bayside, New Brunswick, Canada.  The photograph was taken at the A. LaRock studio at 277 Lisbon Street, Lewiston, Maine.

From brief online research, hopefully correct - corrections, alternate identities, additions requested:

Fannie may have been Frances Augusta (Rogerson) Bartlett (1856-1939), "Fannie", wife of Edward Hitchings Bartlett (1855-1928), based on the similarity of the above photograph with one of that Fannie on an online tree, albeit as an elderly woman.

There's also the fact that Fannie's sister, Statira Jane (Rogerson) Head had married Francis Edmund Head in 1883 at Lewiston, Maine, where they would make their home.

This Fannie was the daughter of Thomas Rogerson, a native of England, and Eunice Linton (Nutter) Rogerson, a native of St. George, New Brunswick.  By 1871, Thomas and Eunice had moved their family to York County, New Brunswick.

Eunice died at Lewiston, Maine, in 1884, but I don't know if they, or she separately, had moved there or she was just visiting daughter Statira Jane. Thomas remarried later that year and lived the rest of his life in New Brunswick.

Fannie Augusta Rogerson and Edward Hitchings Bartlett, who married at St. Andrews, New Brunswick on 5 July 1877, had, I think, seven children.

In 1892 when the photograph was taken, Fannie may have been visiting her sister, Statira Jane (Rogerson) Head and family. Statira, however, was not the only sibling who moved to Maine.

c1876 CDVs of John Thomas Lothrop and Wife Cora E. (Thompson) Lothrop of Rockland, Maine

Pair of Cartes de Visite, or CDVs, of husband and wife John Thomas Lothrop (1844-) and Cora E. (Thompson) Lothrop (abt 1855-1901), taken by the studio of John F. Singhi, 287 Main Street, Rockland, Maine, presumably around the time of their 1876 marriage.

From brief online research, hopefully correct - corrections and additions requested:

John Thomas Lothrop was born at Rockland, Maine, on 16 October 1855, the son of John H. Lothrop and Ursilla (Davis) Lothrop, according to a "Copy of an Old Record of a Birth", with added information from John Thomas Lothrop's daughter Grace May (Lothrop) Winslow Rollins.

Cora E. Thompson was born about 1855 at Rockland, Maine, daughter of William Thompson and Zilpha (Pease) Thompson, as shown on Cora's death record.

John and Cora were married at Rockland, Maine, on 15 June 1876.  They had several children, at least one of whom died in infancy.  Cora died in 1901.  John was mentioned in a City Directory as late as 1935, assuming the correct John T. Lothrop.

Document Recording 1825 Marriage of Gideon Wing and Esther Dillingham at Sidney, Maine - Friends, Quakers

Large document recording the marriage between Gideon Wing and Esther Dillingham at Sidney, Maine, on the 27th day of the tenth month of 1825, as written in the style of Friends/Quakers.

The document indicates that the couple had announced their intention to marry at the "monthly meeting of the people called Quakers, in Fairfield..."

The document measures approximately 17-1/2" by 19" and is now in three pieces: the section shown above and the two bottom sections that have separated from the top and from each other.  Please excuse the poor images, as this item is too large for my scanner.

An article in a 1904 issue of The Owl notes that Gideon Wing was the son of Stephen Wing and Deborah (Allen) Wing and that he married his first wife Zeruah Gifford, daughter of William and Emma Gifford, on 16 November 1817. Her death date was then given as 1880, which is intriguing; perhaps a typo.  In the description of Gideon's second marriage to Esther Dillingham, her mother's maiden name was given as Hannah Weeks.

Transcription:

Gideon Wing of Sidney, son of Stephen Wing of Sidney, in the county of Kennebeck, and state of Maine, and Dorothy, his wife, and Esther Dillingham, daughter of Edward Dillingham of Sidney, in the county of Kennebec and state aforesaid, and Hannah his wife, having declared their intentions of taking each other in Marriage, before the Monthly Meeting of the people called Quakers, in Fairfield, according to the good order used among them, their proceedings, after due enquiry and deliberate consideration thereof, were allowed by the said Meeting, they appearing clear of all others, and having consent of parents.

Now these are to certify to all whom it may concern, that for the full accomplishing of their said intentions, this twenty seventh day of the tenth month, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty five, they they said Gideon wing and Esther Dillingham appeared at a public assembly of the aforesaid people and others, in their meeting-house in Sidney; and he the said Gideon Wing taking the said Esther Dillingham by the hand, did openly declare as followeth, “ Friends, I take this friend Esther Dillingham to be my wife, promising through divine assistance, to be unto her a kind and affectionate husband, until it shall please the Lord by death to separate us”. And the said Esther Dillingham did then and there in like manner declare as followeth: “ Friends, I take this friend Gideon May to be my husband, promising through divine assistance, to be unto him a kind and affectionate wife, until it shall please the Lord by death to separate us.”  Or words of the like import.

 And the said Gideon Wing and Esther Dillingham as a further confirmation thereof, have hereunto set their hands:  she, after the custom of marriage, adopting the name of her husband.

 And we, whose names are hereunto subscribed, being present with others at the solemnization of their said marriage, as Witnesses thereunto, set our hands the day and year above written.

Family Register of Jesse B. Tewksbury & Rosanna S. (Chandler) Tewksbury & Children of Atkinson, Maine

Original family register, measuring 16"x12", of the family of Jesse B. Tewksbury and Rosanna S. (Chandler) Tewksbury and children of Atkinson, Maine.

The last date entered on the register was that of Jesse's death in 1884.  Rosanna, according to their Find a Grave memorial, died in 1899.  Where the register was from 1884 until the present day, I don't know.

The entries:

Jesse B. Tewksbury, born at Atkinson, Maine, on 9 December 1814; died at Atkinson, Maine, on 4 January 1884
Rosanna S. Chandler, born at Minot, Maine, on 3 February 1818.

They were married by Elder Damon at Sebec, Maine, on 9 June 1836, if I'm interpreting the date correctly.

• Adeline Tewksbury, born at Atkinson, Maine, on 18 November 1839
• Julian B. Tewksbury, born at Atkinson, Maine, on 19 January 1842; died at Atkinson, Maine, on 14 December 1857

• Charles C. Tewksbury, born at Atkinson, Maine, on 4 October 1848

1888-1893 Cash Book of IOOF Canton Brunswick No. 23; Brunswick, Maine

1888-1892 cashbook of Canton Brunswick #23, which I believe was a unit of the International Order of Odd Fellows, IOOF, at Brunswick, Maine, based on research of the names included.

The cashbook measures approximately 7-3/4" by 5-1/4"; 4 pages of entries appear at the beginning of the book, with the rest of the pages blank.

1887-1893 School Supervisor's Account Book - Caribou, Maine, area, including the Woodland District

This is an account book of 1887 to 1893 that appears to have used by a School Supervisor who had charge of six districts, presumably in Caribou, Maine, and the district of Woodland, a town to the west of Caribou. 

The book measures approximately 8-1/4" by 7"; most pages are blank.  It was purchased from C. A. Lyons, Stationery & News Depot, Caribou, Maine.

There appear to be at least two sets of handwriting, with the break somewhere around 1892.  Interestingly, the 1893 Caribou annual report mentions that the current supervisor, C. B. Roberts, presumably Calvin B. Roberts (1847-1898), took on the task during the middle of the year, due to the death of the previous supervisor.  Unfortunately, the digital collection of municipal annual reports available from the University of Maine does not include any earlier reports for Caribou.

The 1888 Maine Register shows George H. Smith as School Supervisor for Caribou, and David A. Snowman of Caribou as School Supervisor for Woodland.

The 1889 Maine Register shows O. H. Smith as School Supervisor for Caribou, and W. E. Dorman as School Supervisor for Woodland.  Perhaps O. H. Smith was a typo for George H. Smith.
