Note: This list won't take the place of the burned 1890 US Federal Census records, but it might provide clues. Bear in mind that of the residents mentioned, only the name of the actual owner appears, not the names of the entire household. And it's possible there were other households in the township not subject to taxation.

To be expended as follows: $50 of the Davis tax upon the Nicatou road; the B. F. Coburn tax
$12.00 upon the West Aroostook road, and the remainder of the tax, $74.65 on the south
half upon the Military road, and Henry D. Smart, of Mattawamkeag, is appointed agent.
The tax on the north part amounting to $159.55 upon the West Aroostook road in said north part;
and Joseph Laing, of Mattawamkeag, is appointed agent therefor.
