1854 Highway Assessment for the Town of Avon, Maine: Joseph B. Grover; Sheldon H. Beal; John Phillips and 9 Other Names


1854 highway assessment document for a portion of the town of Avon, Maine, directed to Joseph B. Grover, highway surveyor of that portion.  The document is signed by Avon assessors:
  • Sheldon H. Beal
  • John Phillips
Click on an image to enlarge it.  The difference in color has to do with using two devices for imaging.  The document is a light blue in color.


Joseph B. Grover included himself on the list of the assessed.  In addition, there was a portion of roadway bordered by land held by an unknown owner.
