1880s Autograph Album of Alice Thorne, kept while she was a teacher at Bellbrook, Ohio

1880s autograph album that belonged to Alice Thorne while she was a teacher at Bellbrook, Ohio.  The album was given to her as a Christmas present in 1882 by her "Primary Teacher".

Perhaps a reader will know of an Alice Thorne from Ohio or a nearby state who taught at Bellbrook, Ohio, in the early 1880s.

The album is approximately 7" x 4-1/4" and contains 26 pages signed by Alice's friends and pupils, as well as several floral plates interspersed throughout.  An alphabetical list of the signers appears at the end of this post.

Lu B. Tibbets signed a page at Lincoln, Illinois, on 30 July 1884.

Sallie W. Finch of Jacksonville, Kentucky, signed a page on 10 July 1885.  

A German friend, Jennie, whose surname I can't make out, signed a page.

Mrs. Nish Hathaway signed a page at Xenia, Ohio, on 29 May 1884.

J. F. Hollingshead and his wife Leanah of Spring Valley, Ohio, signed pages on 27 and 28 May 1884.

Two signers included initials for a society or organization that I can't quite make out.  Perhaps a reader will recognize them and leave a comment with their significance.   Lida M. Grimm signed a page at Lebanon, Ohio, on 10 June 1885 and included the initials.

M. Ella Turner of 150 Main Street, Lebanon, Ohio, signed a page and included the initials.
