1880s autograph album that belonged to student Hattie R. Earnheart of Fairbury, Illinois.

Most inscriptions were made by residents of Fairbury, but one inscription was made by Hattie's cousin, whose name was, I believe, George F. Hall, who was then at the Iowa State Journal at Des Moines, Iowa.
Hattie didn't inscribe a page herself, but one person inscribed his page to "Miss Earnhart", and another page was inscribed by Hattie's brother, Leslie Ray Earnheart, shown below.
The album measures approximately 6-1/4" by 3-3/4" and contains the sentiments of 71 of Hattie's relatives, friends, schoolmates and teacher. An alphabetical list of the inscribers, together with any personal information they offered, appears at the end of this post.
Surnames in the Album
From brief online research, hopefully correct - corrections and additions requested:
Hattie R. Earnehart was born October 2, 1869 at Fairbury, Illinois, the daughter of James Franklin Earnheart and Edith Carr (Moore) Earnheart, assuming that the informant on her death record was correct. In addition to Leslie Ray Earnheart, Hattie had several other siblings.
Hattie married twice, I believe:
- Alphonso Lafayette Chandler, on April 17, 1889 in Livingston County, Illinois
- Byrl Joseph Wunderlich, on June 27, 1907 at Chicago, Illinois
I believe Hattie had two children with her first husband. She died at Elgin, Illinois, in 1947 and is buried in the Graceland Cemetery at Fairbury, Illinois.
