1870s-1880s Autograph album that was given by Henry Arance to his younger sister Julia B. Arance of Perry City, New York.

Judging from a couple of the inscriptions, Julia may have attended Cook Academy at Havana, New York.  Cook Academy was founded by Charles Cook, who was instrumental in the founding of Schuyler County, New York.

The inside front cover and the first page of text, though there may be missing pages.

The album measures approximately 4-1/4" by 2-3/4" and contains the sentiments of 100 of Julia's relatives, friends, schoolmates and teachers.  An alphabetical surname list and an alphabetical list of the inscribers, together with any personal information they offered, appear at the end of this post.

From brief online research, hopefully correct - corrections and additions requested:

Julia B. Arance was born in 1865 at Perry City, New York, the daughter of George Arance and Joanna (Brown) Arance.  In addition to older brother Henry, Julia had several other siblings.  According to the 1900 Census of Hector, New York, Julia had married husband Lawrence McCarthy about 1883.  By 1900 they had four children.  Julia died in 1911 and Lawrence in 1928.  They're buried in the Mecklenburg Cemetery at Hector, New York.

According to his Find-a-Grave memorial, Henry Arance was born in 1857 and died in 1927.  He married Alice Updyke about 1890.

1881-1900 Autograph Album of One of the Sons of Freeman Stone and Adaline Marinda (Brown) Stone of Rowe, Massachusetts

1881-1900 autograph album that belonged to one of the sons of Freeman Stone and Adaline Marinda (Brown) Stone of Rowe, Massachusetts.   We know that the owner was a son and not one of the two Stone daughters because on the pages they inscribed they described themselves as the album owner's sister.

The album appears to be missing some of its first pages, which might have included an ownership page, presentation page and title page.  It measures approximately 4" by 2-1/2" and contains the sentiments of 9 of the album owner's relatives, friends and teacher.  An alphabetical list of the inscribers, together with any personal information they offered, appear at the end of this post.

Just because Alonzo Freeman Stone inscribed a page doesn't necessarily rule him out as the album owner.  It wasn't unusual for owners to inscribe pages, and in this case, Alonzo might have taken pen in hand in order to inscribe the page facing one inscribed by his first wife Cora Louisa (Maynard) Stone.  

The inclusion of a page inscribed in 1882 by Sadie F. Hillman, who described herself as the album owner's teacher, would seem to favor one of Alonzo's younger brothers, though it's possible that Sadie was referring to a past relationship.

The Stone children were born between 1858 and 1870 at Rowe, Massachusetts, to Freeman Stone and Adaline Marinda (Brown) Stone.  Adaline inscribed a page in the album at Halifax, Vermont, in June 1900, the only page inscribed beyond the 1880s.

The pages inscribed by the two sisters, Addie E. Stone and Mary L. Stone, both inscribed near Christmas in 1881, so I'm guessing that this album was a Christmas present.

The brothers, one of whom was presumably the album owner:

1879+ Autograph Album of Mina, presumably of the Spring Creek, Pennsylvania Area

1879+ autograph album that belonged to a Mina, presumably of the Spring Creek, Pennsylvania, area.  The seller of this album indicated that the owner was Ermina Reno, though I haven't been able to substantiate that.

A clue to the album owner's identity: the page inscribed by Irene Clark, who described herself as Mina's niece.  If you are able to establish Mina's identity on the clues provided in this post, please leave a comment or contact me directly.

Two pages near the end of the album were decorated with sketches of a bird motif and were signed by someone with the surname Reno, with a first name that could be Ermina, Emina or Emma.  If you recognize this person, please leave a comment or contact me directly.

The album, which measures about 4" by 2-3/4" and is rather dilapidated, contains the sentiments of as many as 20 people.  The exact figure is hard to determine, as some inscriptions are hard to decipher, some are unsigned and the two by Ermina Reno may have been done by someone other than the owner.  It doesn't help that the inscriptions were made in pencil.

Autograph album presented to Herb by Cora on December 25, 1880.  "Herb" may have been Walter Herbert Moore and Cora his future wife Cora E. Mills, whom he married on December 24, 1881 in Oakland County, Michigan.

On December 24, 1881 at Pontiac, Michigan, Walter Herbert Moore married Cora E. Mills, daughter, according to her Michigan Death Record, of Platt Rogers Mills and Hannah L. (Babcock) Mills.

Walter Herbert Moore and Cora raised their family of at least two children in Oakland County, Michigan.  Cora died in 1922 and Herb in 1931.  They're buried in the Oak Hill Cemetery at Pontiac, Michigan.

1882+ Autograph Album of Herbert Annas Hathaway of Chicago, Illinois and Elgin, Illinois

Autograph album that was started in 1882 by Herbert Annas Hathaway of Chicago, Illinois, and Elgin, Illinois.

Of extra help to family historians, Herbert left notes about marriages and deaths of many of the inscribers, including his own marriage to Bertha Droussent and her date and cause of death.

The album measures approximately 5-1/2" by 3-1/2" and contains the sentiments of over 50 of Herbert's relatives, friends and schoolmates.  An alphabetical list of the inscribers, together with any personal information they offered, appears at the end of this post.

Herbert also inscribed two facing pages, one  at Chicago, Illinois, in 1882 and one at Elgin, Illinois, in 1885

From brief online research, hopefully correct - corrections and additions requested:

According to his Illinois Death Record, Herbert Annas Hathaway was born March 1, 1869 at Chicago, Illinois, the son of New York natives Annas Trafton Hathaway and Sylvira Maria (Bartlett) Hathaway.   Herbert's parents inscribed faces pages in his album, his father in 1882 at 236 Oak Street, Chicago, Illinois, and his mother in 1885 at Elgin, Illinois.  Notice the notes that Herbert left with his parents' dates of death.

Herbert's maternal grandmother, Naomi Hillard (Babcock) Bartlett, inscribed two pages, on both of which Herbert added notes with her date of death.

On March 9, 1898 at Hancock, Illinois, Herbert Annas Hathaway married Bertha Droussent, who had inscribed a page in the album at Hamilton, Illinois, on January 26, 1886.  Herbert added a note with their marriage date and the date, place and cause of Bertha's death: April 25, 1940 at Elgin, Illinois, of heart trouble.

Herbert died in 1942; he and Bertha are buried in the Little Woods Cemetery in Kane County, Illinois.
