1897 Photograph, of J. W. Miller by a Brattleboro, Vermont studio
December 1897 photograph of a young man identified on the reverse as J. W. Miller. The photograph was taken by the Wyatt studio of 61 Main Street, Brattleboro, Vermont.
The photograph also mentions the name M. A. Scott. Could M. A. Scott have been Minnie A. Scott of Brattleboro, Vermont? Minnie was born in 1878, daughter of Freeman Scott and Eliza Ann (Adams) Scott. Minnie would have been about the same age as J. W. Miller.
Whether J. W. lived in the Brattleboro, Vermont, area or was attending an educational institution in the area, I don't know.
If you recognize J. W. Miller from your family photographs or research, please leave a comment or contact me directly.
