Cabinet Photograph of a Woman Identified as "Grandmother Anna Hanna"; by an Auburn, Maine studio
Cabinet photograph of a woman identified on the reverse as "Grandmother Anna Hanna". The photograph was taken by the G. H. Roberts studio of 37 Seventh Street, Auburn, Maine.
Hanna may be a surname or a middle name. If a surname, it could be her birth surname or married surname. I didn't find an Anna Hanna in the Auburn, Maine, area, but there were some Maine woman by that name during the era of this photograph, and she could have been attending school in the area or visiting.
If you recognize this woman from your family research, please leave a comment or contact me directly.
I came across the name Annie Hanna recently while working on some records at Gray Village Cemetery. Not sure whether she might be the lady in your photo, but she might be a candidate worth looking at. Here is her Find a Grave record: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=118107878
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking that the woman in the photograph was born before 1889, but there may well be a family connection to your Annie's husband. I'll check it out - thanks!
