Photograph of John Leslie Stoddard of Vermont
Photograph, perhaps a graduation photograph, of a young man identified on reverse as John Leslie Stoddard of Vermont.
From online research, hopefully correct: [corrections welcome]
John Leslie Stoddard may be same person as Leslie John Stoddard, as their names seem interchangeable on records throughout the years.
John was born 2 February 1892 at Lemington, Vermont, the son of Edgar A. and Helen (Merrill) Stoddard, who were born at Lemington, Vermont, and Eaton, Quebec, respectively, according to his Vermont birth record.
On 25 December 1915 at Stewartstown, New Hampshire, John married Inez O. Abbott, daughter of Irving D. and Jennie (Gilbert) Abbott. They had at least three children: Gertrude; Thelma; and Ellen Myrtle.
I'm not sure if Inez died or not, but on 26 June 1926, John married Bernice Lillian Bolton, daughter of Chester and Stella (Owens) Bolton. I believe there was at least one child from this marriage.
