Charlotte Grace Gilbert was born 13 April 1904 at Guilford, Maine. Her parents were Thomas Henry Gilbert and Annette Belle (Cimpher) Gilbert, born at Orono, Maine, and Guilford, Maine, respectively.
Charlotte's paternal grandparents were Thomas Gilbert of Quebec province, Canada, and Esther Cordelia (Lyshon) Gilbert, born at Hudson, Maine.
Her maternal grandparents were Daniel Cimpher, a German immigrant from Baden, and Fannie M. (Edes) Cimpher, born at Guilford, Maine.
Charlotte married Theodore Paul Blaich in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, in 1925. They lived at Cleveland, Ohio and raised at least one child. Theodore was a public school teacher.
At some point, Theodore and Charlotte moved to Fryeburg, Maine.
