Crandell o...I know who one of the signers is - J.S. Crandell of Riley, St. Clair County, MI is my ggrandfather. He was at that time a young husband and father who I believe was managing a horse farm there in Riley. He left shortly thereafter and went to Ann Arbor Michigan to study law at the University, then returned to Memphis, MI and moved on to Sanilac Centre (now Sandusky), MI and was the county prosecuting attorney for Sanilac. Not sure why his signature is there, although the family was active in the Temperance Movement.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
