1889-1933 Autograph Album of Annette Edwards, "Nettie", of Forrest, Illinois

Autograph album kept by Annette Edwards, "Nettie", of Forrest, Illinois, from 1889 until 1933.

The album measures approximately 7" by 4-1/4" and contains the sentiments of about 34 of Nettie's relatives, friends and schoolmates.  An alphabetical list of the inscribers, together with any personal information they offered, appears at the end of this post.

From brief online research, hopefully correct - corrections and additions requested:

Annette Edwards, "Nettie", was born October 17, 1873 in Illinois, the daughter of William Edwards and Elizabeth C. (Hayward) Edwards.  I believe Nettie had three siblings, one of whom had died by the time she started keeping her album.

Inscribers who mentioned a kinship [and there may have been more who didn't express kinship]:

• Ferne Helen Craig; inscribed on December 2, 1933.  Nettie's niece
• Charlie Marshall; inscribed on May 15, 1911.  Perhaps son of George Marshall and Alice (Edwards) Marshall, who was Nettie's sister.
• Fern Marshall; inscribed on April 24, 1911.  Nettie's niece, daughter of George Marshall and Alice (Edwards) Marshall, who was Nettie's sister.

I don't believe Nettie ever married, as she's buried under her birth name in the Forrest Township Cemetery at Forrest, Illinois, along with her parents and other relatives.  Nettie died in 1972 in Wilmington, Illinois.
