1883-1895 Autograph Album of a Connecticut Resident, Related to the Geer and Smith Families

1883-1895 autograph album that belonged to a Connecticut resident.  People with the surname Smith and Geer mentioned kinship in their inscriptions.

Below, clues to the owner's identity - if you can piece these clues together, please leave a comment or contact me directly:

The latest inscription in the album was penned by Myra B. Smith of Griswold, Connecticut, in 1895.  She may have been Maranda B. Smith, who was born in Quebec, Canada, about 1846, daughter of Ebenezer Newell Smith and Olive Esther (Farnham) Smith

Below, William Geer and wife Amelia (Dyer) Geer, who inscribed pages at Lisbon, Connecticut in 1883; they called themselves the album owner's aunt and uncle. The Elbridge Geer who inscribed the page that faced the page inscribed by William Geer was presumably his brother.

Below, pages inscribed in March 1883 by Leodama E. (Geer) Ayer of Lisbon, Connecticut, who called herself the album owner's cousin, and Leodama's husband Everett C. Ayer.  Leodama, the daughter of inscribers William and Amelia Geer, appears in several online trees but if her marriage to Everett is mentioned at all, he is described incorrectly as Everett C. "Myer".

Surnames that appear multiple times and might provide further clues:
  • Ayer
  • Carpenter
  • Geer
  • Main
  • Morse
  • Palmer
  • Rouse
  • Wilkinson

The album measures approximately 5-1/4" by 3-1/4" and contains the sentiments of 37 of the owner's relatives and friends.  Below, an alphabetical surname list and an alphabetical list of the inscribers, together with any personal information they offered.
