1880s Autograph Album of Flora, presumably of Mount Vernon, New York

1880s autograph album that belonged to a Flora.  Since most of the sentiments were inscribed at Mount Vernon, New York, Flora likely hailed from there.

One inscriber called herself Flora's schoolmate, so Flora was presumably an adolescent in the 1880s.  Another, John, called himself Flora's brother; he may have been a sibling, but he may have been referring to a religious or fraternal relationship.

The first sentiment in the album may provide a clue to Flora's identity.  Hopefully a reader who understands the language will provide a translation and the inscriber's name.   I wonder if the inscriber was Flora's maternal grandmother - "Mormor"

The album, published by Beatty & Forth of New York, measures approximately 6" by 3-3/4" and contains several pages of bird illustrations throughout and the sentiments of 22 of Flora's friends and schoolmates.  An alphabetical list of the inscribers, together with any personal information they offered, appears at the end of this post.
