1870s autograph album that belonged to Belle S. King of Springfield, Massachusetts.  Belle was the daughter of Rodolphus Spencer King and Harriet A. (Shores) King.

The inside front cover has the description of an outing at Waterbury, Connecticut, on November 25, 1878, in which Belle and several other people are mentioned.  Belle may have been the inscriber.

"Ever remember what a pleasant evening we spent at Miss Strong's.  Also our game of eucher  [sic] wherein Miss Emma & E.?E beat Belle & Mr. B - four out of seven games.  Which also the following afternoon and was spent at Aunt H.
Miss Emma and Jennie coming down to dinner after which we were entertained by Miss E. by her recitation and readings.
After which we attended the young men's meeting, which was very interesting. conducted by Emma S.'s brother.  After the close of the service we listened to a sermon by Rev. J. Pegg Jr., which was not very interesting but the singing was very good.
After service we returned to ? [possibly Mrs. S.] and after spending a few moments in social conversation, we returned home.  And thus passed away a very pleasant Sabbath to me. (all right for your ?).  Waterbury, Nov. 25th 78"

The album measures approximately 7" by 4-1/4" and contains 102 sentiments of Belle's relatives and friends, several of whom might have inscribed more than one page.  An alphabetical list of the inscribers, together with any personal information they offered, appears at the end of this post.

As you can see from the surnames list below, several members of several families inscribed pages.
