Calling card of J. Albert Tyler. Because the card was found with a collection of Maine calling cards, many of them from New Sharon, Maine, I believe this card belonged to Joseph Albert Tyler (1862-1940) of New Sharon, Maine.
From brief online research, hopefully correct - corrections and additions requested:
Joseph Albert Tyler was born May 3, 1862 at New Sharon, Maine, the son of Zebulon Tyler and Julia F. (Riggs or Rigg) Tyler. J. Albert's Massachusetts Mason Card indicates that he was born May 3, 1863, but perhaps he did not write the date himself. His stone is inscribed 1862-1940.
J. Albert attended Farmington State Normal and Training School at Farmington, Maine and became a civil engineer at Portland, Maine, and later at Everett, Massachusetts.
On June 6, 1895 at Portland, Maine, J. Albert married Lephie May Kimball, daughter of Albert Leroy Kimball and Abbie E. (Decker) Kimball. Lephie was born at Boothbay, Maine, on September 4, 1874. J. Albert and Lephie had at least two children, a daughter and son, both born in Maine.
J. Albert Tyler died February 10, 1940 and Lephie in 1950. They're buried in the Riverside Cemetery at Farmington, Maine, with Tyler relatives.
