Att J. Stockbridge [possibly Jas., abbreviation for James Stockbridge; or Jos., abbreviation for Joseph Stockbridge or Josiah Stockbridge; or possibly John Stockbridge, who was a town official previous to 1804.]
At least one payment, that of February 25, 1805 [and possibly another in May 1805], is noted on the reverse of the document.
From brief research, I found a Jacob Reed at Freeport, Maine, born in Maine in 1787. He married Celia Stockbridge, who was presumably a relative of the witness to this document.
I haven't found anything on a Nathaniel Hobart who lived at Freeport, Maine during that time, but he may have lived elsewhere in Maine or beyond.

DeleteI have Stockbridge in my ancestry. John Stockbridge lived in Freeport prior to moving to Byron, ME. He had a son John (1787-1855) who was a lawyer. He was mostly around Byron, Andover, Dixfield area, but could have a tie to the Stockbridge home in Freeport. Would like to know more about the Stockbridge house.
