1)  Lucile Cogswell

Note: Here is a comment from a reader, below, regarding Lucile Cogswell:

Lucille Cogswell: (Sources at the end) Lucille Cogswell was born 19 Aug 1897 in Concord, NH, the daughter of Edward M and M Madeline (Perry) Cogswell. Her ethnicity was listed as Canadian at birth. In 1910 she was living at 56 Rumford St, Concord, NH, with her parents, her paternal grandmother, and a paternal aunt. Her father was a foreman of a railroad freight house. Everyone in the household had been born in New Hampshire to parents born in New Hampshire. A family tree says that Lucille married Lloyd Prey about 1918. Lloyd had been born about 1897. Sure enough, there is a Lloyd G and Lucille Pray living in Washington DC in 1920. A transcription says that Lucille was 22 and born in New Hampshire and Lloyd was 36, born in Michigan.  In 1930 their image tells us they had been married 12 years. Lloyd and Lucille were both pharmacists; Lloyd owned his own drugstore.

  3. I'm going to run out of easy ones, but here is another of the nine. Paste it into an article if you want. I don't know if the comments are searchable. I did a site search of your site for "Deakin" and didn't find it.

Anyway, here is, I think, Lucille Cogswell:

  4. I just found an annual report of Concord NH for 1915. It is at the link at the end. The graduating class is on page 16. Lucile Cogswell took an academic course and Evelyn Fulford was in classical. I suspect the other seven are there also.

  6. Helen C Currier and (Mary) Alice Currier, who both graduated from Concord NH High School in 1915, may be related, but they are not sisters or first cousins.

Helen C Currier was a graduate of Concord NH High School in 1915 in a commercial course. She was born 23 Aug 1897 in Concord, the daughter of John H and Susan A (Cook) Currier. Her parents lived at 26 Maple Street in Concord and her father owned a grocery store. Helen was married on 1 Oct 1921 in Concord to Benjamin Francis Sherman who had been born in Rhode Island about 1886.

They had three children: Helen Elizabeth, Benjamin Francis, and Dorothy Wilson Sherman. Apparently while pregnant with Dorothy, Helen (Currier) Sherman developed appendicitis which couldn't be operated on. Her child was born Apr 25, 1929, and died April 29 of an undeveloped heart. Helen died a week later on May 6 of peritonitis caused by the appendicitis. They are both buried in Blossom Hill Cemetery, Concord.

Helen's son Benjamin graduated from the US Naval Academy in 1946 and later received a Ph.D in nuclear physics from Stanford. He died in 2011. Helen's daughter, Helen Elizabeth, became a captain in the US Army Air Corp. She married Arthur E Paterson, Jr, on 30 Jun 1946 in Franklin, NH. She died in 1998 and is buried in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY.

    *********

Mary Alice Currier, who graduated in an academic course from Concord NH High School in 1915 was born 21 Jul 1897 in Concord, the daughter of Chas C Currier and Mary J Kilborn. Her father was the proprietor of a laundry. The family lived at 92 School Street in 1910.

In 1920 Alice evidently was working as a dietitian at the Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. Sanatorium in Moreau, Saratoga County, New York. In 1930 she was living at 88 Morningside Drive, Manhattan, NY, with the author Mary E. Pennell. A list of Mary Pennell's works can be found at http://www.worldcat.org/identities/lccn-no00-83332.

On September 18, 1937 Mary Alice arrived back in New York from Bermuda on the Queen of Bermuda. She gave an address of 400 W 119th St, New York.

Mary Alice Currier remained single. She died in 1957 and is buried with her parents, brother Charles, and other family members in Stumpfield Cemetery, Contoocook, NH.
