4 Tintypes of 2 Women, likely from the Bangor, Maine area
Four tintypes in a collection of about fifty purchased at a Bangor, Maine show in 1990. I was told the folks in the tintypes were from the Bangor area, though I obviously can't confirm that.
To see more of the tintypes in this collection, use the search box at right and enter Bangor tintypes.
This post concerns four tintypes of two different women, taken on the same day, I believe.
Below are two views of the other woman. Click on an image to enlarge it.
Two tintypes in the collection, not those above, have a backing that
identifies the studio that produced the tintype, both of them in Bangor, Maine. One is the studio of J. P. Merrill; the other is the studio of A. B. Farrar.
If you recognize either of these women from family albums, please leave a comment in the comments box or contact me directly.
